SHADOW DAY GUIDE

If you're reading this, it's because someone has been scheduled to shadow on your team, your brain just shut down, and you can't remember anything. Don't sweat, big dog. We got you 💪! Follow the steps below, and you will be good to go! 

GET THEM CONNECTED

If you run into any problems, holler at us - we gotchu 👊

Before Their Shadow Day

1. Reach out to them and find a day for them to shadow.


2. If they are serving with Kids or ERT, make sure they know they need to pass a background check. Next, click this link here to email Addison and request a background check for them!

During Their Shadow Day

1. Welcome them and show them around!


2. Go over any specifics for your team and invite them to serve and get hands on.


3. After church, ask them these questions:

  • What did you like about it? 

  • Is there anything you are nervous about?

  • If you want to serve, would you want to serve once or twice a month? 

  • (If you have different teams for different services) Which service would you like to serve?

Monday After Shadow Day

1. Text them and ask if this is something they want to do.


2. If yes - you have to import them to your team on services (if you are confused on how to do that, watch this video).


3. After you import them, tell them to go to mycanvaschurch.org/team and follow those steps!


4. Once they are in Slack, add them to your personal team and welcome them! (If you are confused on how to do that, watch this video).
